On Stage
Plays are meant to be shared with audiences. Young Playwrights facilitates sharing of students' plays with peers through in-school Mini-Festivals, and by bringing them to audiences of the general public in staged readings, workshops and professional productions on our Play Developent Series.
Student writers are at the center of our public presentations, participating in casting, rehearsals, marketing, press relations and talk-backs with audiences.
Longtime partners in our public presentations include Temple University Department of Theater and Philadelphia Theatre Company.
In 2009/2010, our Play Development Series partners will include InterAct Theatre Company, University of the Arts, Walnut Street Theatre and The Wilma Theater, and Philadelphia Art Alliance.
